I scored these babies on sale at Payless for $14.99. How cute are they?! They'll be a fun pop of color in my fall wardrobe on the cheap. Love. And whoever said orange was the new pink was SERiously disturbed.

A Good Conditioner Is Hard To Find...
Like my mascara search, the hunt for haircare products that leave my difficult hair looking and feeling amazing has been a long one. My hair is dry, half straight and half curly, and poofs up like cotton candy at the very slightest sign of humidity. Whatever I want it to do, it does the opposite. It's the bane of my existence (not that I would ever overreact about my hair or anything). But seriously.
I'm always looking for that product that will make my hair behave and give me shiny, soft, touchable, AMAZING hair. I'd seen Garnier's 3-Minute Undo Dryness Reversal Treatment on one of my regular jaunts to Target, and then some glowing reviews on several beauty sites, so I decided to give it a whirl.

This is a deep conditioner with olive, avocado, and shea butters that Garnier says penetrate the hair shaft. It also has finely ground apricot seeds to "stimulate the hair shaft" so it almost has the texture of a mild scrub. And of course being a Garnier product, it smells delish! I couldn't wait to get this stuff home and try it, but sadly, it's just not for me. When I applied it after shampooing, I felt like I had to really work it in, not at all like a deep, rich moisturizer. Once I started blowdrying, I got a little suspicious because my bangs were taking for-EVER-er to dry. When I was all dry, my hair did look a little shinier than usual but it felt very rough and I couldn't run my fingers through it at all.
The next morning, my bangs seemed a little greasy and they only got worse as the day went on. I actually tried to use a faceblotter sheet on my bangs to soak up some of the oil. Ick. I felt so gross all day and I couldn't WAIT to get home and rewash. My hair is so dry that I couldn't believe there could be such a thing as too much moisture, but I looked like I'd poured baby oil on my head. Sorry, Garnier, but I will not be repurchasing.

Yum!
I have a huge sweet tooth, and almost always prefer a sweet snack over something salty. But I have a confession: there's a new snack in my life that is tempting me to the salty side:
Archer Farms Organic White Cheddar and Rosemary Popcorn (from Target). This stuff is good! Even my husband is addicted. Bonus: it's a filling and relatively healthy snack, as the portions listed are HUGE and only around 150 calories. Try it. Love it. You'll thank me later.

I Think I've Found The One...
In the never-ending hunt for the perfect mascara, there have been a LOT of contestants, let me tell you. A lot of losers, a lot of letdowns, and very few who've come close to taking the title. Drugstore, department store, you name it, I've tried it. DiorShow came close, but after a few purchases I decided I didn't love it enough to justify the price, and my search continued.
Then, a month or so ago, I was wandering the beauty aisles at Target and spotted the display for L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara.

I'm always a sucker for anything new and pretty packaging, so I grabbed one in Blackest Black and I love it! I get long, full lashes with good separation (not just big clumps of mascara trying to pass themselves off as "volume", you know who you are), very black color, which is a must for me, and no smudging, a problem with many other mascaras I've tried. I think my search is over!
