I'm always looking for that product that will make my hair behave and give me shiny, soft, touchable, AMAZING hair. I'd seen Garnier's 3-Minute Undo Dryness Reversal Treatment on one of my regular jaunts to Target, and then some glowing reviews on several beauty sites, so I decided to give it a whirl.
This is a deep conditioner with olive, avocado, and shea butters that Garnier says penetrate the hair shaft. It also has finely ground apricot seeds to "stimulate the hair shaft" so it almost has the texture of a mild scrub. And of course being a Garnier product, it smells delish! I couldn't wait to get this stuff home and try it, but sadly, it's just not for me. When I applied it after shampooing, I felt like I had to really work it in, not at all like a deep, rich moisturizer. Once I started blowdrying, I got a little suspicious because my bangs were taking for-EVER-er to dry. When I was all dry, my hair did look a little shinier than usual but it felt very rough and I couldn't run my fingers through it at all.
The next morning, my bangs seemed a little greasy and they only got worse as the day went on. I actually tried to use a faceblotter sheet on my bangs to soak up some of the oil. Ick. I felt so gross all day and I couldn't WAIT to get home and rewash. My hair is so dry that I couldn't believe there could be such a thing as too much moisture, but I looked like I'd poured baby oil on my head. Sorry, Garnier, but I will not be repurchasing.
